One Saturday morning in 2008, everyone in our house were doing different chores. The TV was on, but I was in another part of the house. Then a program began on ITV Benin, Fresh Dew. We had just moved to that state from the north and we didn’t have any prior knowledge of that program or the anchor. Few minutes into the program, words began to hit me where I was like fire. I said loudly “who is this woman?”. Then I moved to the sitting room to hear properly. The message title was “The Gospel of the Blessing”. I will never recover from that encounter. My elder sister -who has also gone to be with the lord, was in her room that day, she also heard piercing words and made her way to the living room. Everyone in our house literally left what they were doing to come watch the program. From that day, I couldn’t wait for another Saturday to sit in front of the TV, receiving that always Fresh Dew. Pastor Kech is still alive, and she’ll live forever. Your impact ma, cannot be replaced. Your memory is blessed! We love you, God loves you more.

I finally know what it means to be speechless, sad and sorrowful. Pastor Kech, the news of your passing to glory came as a shock to me. I have sat looking at the computer screen for hours and days not knowing exactly what to say. You were my friend and sister-in-law. We called each other “nwannem”. You made me have a sense of belonging when I thought I lost my bearing. You cried with me when I cried. You made me feel special with support, gifts, and spending time together (facetiming). You and uncle Emeka gave my sons (your nephews) and I an unforgettable cruise vacation. One of your specialties was making one feel loved and worthy. Thank You. Thank you for the impact you made in my life. I wish we had more time. For all the times when we did not see each other nor talked, no day passed that your love and impact was not felt in my household and it will always be. Farewell Nwannem. You are deeply missed. Uncle Emeka and family please accept my deepest and sincere Condolences.

TRIBUTE TO PASTOR NKECHI ENE: THE GENERAL WHO MASTERED BOTH LOGIC AND FAITH. We celebrate the extraordinary life and profound legacy of Pastor Nkechi Ene. She was, quite simply, a singular mind and an unwavering servant of God. To those of us who knew her from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), she was an academic legend. Pastor Nkechi was a true genius, graduating with First Class Honours in Electronics Engineering in 1990. Her brilliance was established early on, notably by achieving the highest JAMB score in Engineering for our set (1985). She possessed a rare intellectual integrity, moving through her rigorous engineering program without ever having to re-sit an exam. Though poised for a highly successful career in the competitive oil and gas sector, she answered a higher call. Her ultimate commitment was to the ministry. Serving faithfully as the Associate Pastor of The Carpenter’s Church, she stepped forward to become the Presiding Pastor after the passing of the founder, Pastor Charles Omofomah, in February 2013. This transition cemented her life as one dedicated to leadership, service, and spiritual conviction. As God’s servant, she masterfully fused her analytical mind with her spiritual gift. Her engineering precision and clarity became the hallmark of her teaching on Freshdew TV, making complex scriptural truths accessible, structured, and profoundly impactful to millions globally. Pastor Nkechi Ene lived a life defined by excellence, dedication, and an unshakeable belief in the Word of God. She has finished her race and earned the ultimate commendation. The UNN 1990 Engineering Set mourns the loss of our brilliant star. We find comfort knowing her legacy of faith, service, and excellence endures. Rest in power, Pastor Kech. We miss you dearly

ADIEU TO MY PRECIOUS AUNT My most loved Auntie Nky, I still can’t believe I’m having to write this tribute at all. I don’t really think I can summarize exactly how I felt and feel about you in few words, but I will try. You were one of the most captivating people I’ve ever met. Not only were you one of the most gorgeous women that ever lived, you also had an engaging, life-of-the-party nature. There was never a dull moment with you. You always had something to talk about, giggle about and do whenever we were together. You had such a generous spirit -you gave as if ‘Give’ was your middle name. You spoilt me with gifts and attention, and anytime you came around, I always felt loved and happy. You believed in inspiring and impacting others, and you really did and do inspire me a lot, my darling aunt. I know God must have His reasons for taking you away from us so soon, so I will do my best to accept that He is in control, because that’s what you would want me to do. Thank you for being such an inexplicably, indescribably amazing person. Love you to the moon, back, and even further than that. Your niece- Chizzy Chijioke

Pastor KECH, you were truly a woman of God, a woman of great faith and a teacher of the undiluted word of God. You taught God’s word in simplicity and demonstration, you taught the body of Christ that it was not a LUXURY to hear from Our Father because we are His children. Pastor I and my family are living PROOF OF GOD’S AMAZING FAITHFULNESS AND DEPENDABILITY because of how you taught God’s word and taught us how to believe God for ourselves. In different times of my life and my encounter with you, you showcased the reality of the LIVING GOD whom you served, depended upon and had taught us how to make our boast in. You taught me how to reflect Jesus in all that I do and that mediocrity wasn’t an option as a child of God. The spirit of excellence and generosity was one of your chips my family and I have learnt from and we will keep it flying as long as jesus Tarry’s. Pastor Kech, the news of your call to glory came to us as a shock as we were expecting your return from the Ministerial work you had gone for in weeks in different continents, well I am consoled with the truth that you have finished your mission and mandate on earth and have tranisited to glory to Rest from all your labour, I know that you are now in a better place and I thank God for the privilege He granted me to be taught by you my dearest pastor Kech, I will be forever grateful to God for all you did for my family and I especially as we waited and received our miracle babies from the Lord. Thank you pastor KECH for answering the call of God upon your life, thank you for teaching God’s word and nothing else. Thank you for standing by my family and I our children wouldn’t have been here if not for you, your teaching of the undiluted word of God. Rest in power my dearest Pastor kech.

My dearest pastor Kech, you are a rare gem. As a teenager I began watching Fresh Dew on RSTV/NTA and these were refreshing moments for me as a young Christian. Years later, I was invited to The Carpenter’s Church and I was excited to see my favourite TV pastor and there after, I decided to become a member of TCC. That was one of the best decisions in my life. Listening to the undiluted word shaped my life in different ways. There are many words to describe pastor Kech. She isn’t just a pastor . She is also a prophet, shepherd, counsellor, intellectual, fashionista, friend, mother. She is LOVE personified. A lover of God. This year when pastor Kech heard I delivered a set of quadruplet, she reached out to me and showed massive love. She called to ensure my babies and I were doing well. On her own , she reached out to a professor of Paediatric to ensure my babies are doing fine. She prayed for us, sent financial support, called on church members to go donate blood for my babies when their conditions became very critical. Along the line, I lost one of my babies and just after that, I was about losing another. I called on pastor Kech immediately and she agreed with me in prayers and thereafter, there was a turn around in the medical treatment/ management of my babies that yielded positive result and my babies were then discharged. Pastor Kech didn’t stop showing love to my babies. She also bought baby milk for them in large quantity. I was excited to have her dedicate my babies. She has always declared that BABIES ARE SCATTERING IN TCC. Pastor Kech, I love you and I miss you dearly. I know you are in a better place. I pray that God comforts your beloved husband and your beautiful daughters.
