TRIBUTE TO PASTOR NKECHI ENE: THE GENERAL WHO MASTERED BOTH LOGIC AND FAITH.
We celebrate the extraordinary life and profound legacy of Pastor Nkechi Ene. She was, quite simply, a singular mind and an
unwavering servant of God.
To those of us who knew her from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), she was an academic legend. Pastor Nkechi was a
true genius, graduating with First Class Honours in Electronics Engineering in 1990. Her brilliance was established early on,
notably by achieving the highest JAMB score in Engineering for our set (1985). She possessed a rare intellectual integrity, moving
through her rigorous engineering program without ever having to re-sit an exam. Though poised for a highly successful career in
the competitive oil and gas sector, she answered a higher call.
Her ultimate commitment was to the ministry. Serving faithfully as the Associate Pastor of The Carpenter’s Church, she stepped
forward to become the Presiding Pastor after the passing of the founder, Pastor Charles Omofomah, in February 2013. This
transition cemented her life as one dedicated to leadership, service, and spiritual conviction.
As God’s servant, she masterfully fused her analytical mind with her spiritual gift. Her engineering precision and clarity became
the hallmark of her teaching on Freshdew TV, making complex scriptural truths accessible, structured, and profoundly impactful
to millions globally.
Pastor Nkechi Ene lived a life defined by excellence, dedication, and an unshakeable belief in the Word of God. She has finished
her race and earned the ultimate commendation.
The UNN 1990 Engineering Set mourns the loss of our brilliant star. We find comfort knowing her legacy of faith, service, and
excellence endures.
Rest in power, Pastor Kech. We miss you dearly
