I knew Pastor Nkechi from ETV channel 50 Enugu in the 90,s ,what got me about her was her zeal, love and passion for God throughout the time she was on ETV ,I loved listening to her she stirred my heart towards God in my teen years.l never met her personally .I still watched her on YouTube and admired the gallant salvation solider she was .l have mixed feeling about her passing because I know she has joined the saints triumphantly and has gone to fill a position in heaven as the other hand sad because I know she will be greatly missed by her husband ,children and a lot more people whom truly loved her. Farewell Gallant Soilder of the Cross .I will look out for you in heaven when it is all said and done in this world . Love from Ebby,Germany

I refused to write. Because faith should beat death. And we call those things that be not as though they were. You stubbornly defied death for years and that reignited my faith. I was challenged for my faith recently and was wondering if walking by faith was wrong. Your message stirred me up as I held unto God in a foreign land in April this year. I replayed your messages as I prepared for an interview and it gave me courage to wait and hold on to God’s word. Currently working as a G7 lawyer and I planned to come for fresh dew in England to meet you next year. I won’t have that. Thank you for your message though I feel like it was personal but God loves you more than us

Pastor Kech, Your passing felt unreal. Each day, I kept hoping the news would somehow become untrue. That longing made it difficult to put my tribute into words—until now. But your homegoing service today finally settled the truth in my heart: you have indeed gained. You are now with the Lover of your soul, our Lord and King. You broke every ceiling there was. You lived decades within your 56 years. Your impact is far greater than we can measure today. Every testimony shared revealed how deeply you loved and how freely you gave—everything that could be given. Your love for the Father, your dance with the Holy Spirit, your devotion to Jesus were infectious. Consumed by His love, you poured out your strength, your time, even your health for humanity, far beyond what anyone who cared for herself would have done. I am profoundly grateful that I knew you, rather than merely hearing of your conquests for God. I thank God for placing me among the sheep you fed for the past 20 years. Your memory will stay with me for a lifetime, and your life’s work—your love expressed in every possible way—will continue to be my pattern as I imitate “those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” I am comforted by the truth that you are in a better place, dancing with Jesus in ways we mortals cannot fathom. Continue to dance with the Spirit, my man of God. Adesina

To uncle Emeka, to Zoe, to Chloe, to Tracy, to Osinachi, to the entire family, to pastor Sola, & to the whole TCC family, we serve the more than enough God. Listening to God’s general pastor Charles on the message titled the fullness of the blessing, he said when Jesus fed the five thousand & the four thousand, there were left over filling baskets. That is the God we serve if we stay our focus on His word. We love Pastor Kech, but no one among us love her as much as God does. He is the all wise. I pray we all be strengthened with might through His Spirit in our inner man in Jesus name. Amen

A Loving Tribute to My Teaching Priest — Pastor Nkechi Ene “For a long season, Israel was without the true God, without a teaching priest to instruct and inspire them, and without law to direct them.” — 2 Chronicles 15:3 There are people God places on the earth not merely to preach sermons, but to shape destinies — to teach, to train, and to turn hearts toward Him. For me, that person was Pastor Nkechi Ene — my teaching priest, my pastor, and the woman who had the greatest impact on my life as a Christian. My first encounter with her ministry remains unforgettable. It was one quiet Saturday morning during my secondary school’s midterm break in 1998. The television in our sitting room was on, tuned to RSTV Port Harcourt, though no one was watching. As I walked in, she was concluding her teaching on Freshdew, and in that familiar tone full of reverence and intimacy with God, she said, “Thank You Father for Your Word, thank You my Father for Your Word.” In that moment, something divine happened. I felt the presence of God — strong, mighty, and tangible — filling that room. The Spirit of God impressed upon my heart to, “Listen to this woman.” That was the beginning of a lifelong journey of connection, discipleship, and transformation through her ministry. From that day forward, I followed Freshdew faithfully. Before the popularity of cable TV (GOTV and Startimes), I would even report to The Carpenter’s Church in Port Harcourt the Freshdew episodes aired on ITV Benin. Her teachings gave my family and I inspiration and direction for life. When she taught, the Word of God came alive — full of grace, clarity, and simplicity. Through her, I learned to see Scripture not just as text but as life — spirit and truth intertwined. Her message series “Unveiling Psalm 91” so deeply marked me that, more than two decades later, when my second son was born, we named him Elyon — inspired by that revelation. As a family, we eagerly anticipated every edition of Freshdew Faith-Feast in Benin City. We were always blessed, always transformed, and in the last edition, we were especially privileged to be invited to dinner with her — to sit with the one who had been a voice, a mentor, and a gift from God to us for decades. Pastor Nkechi was more than a preacher — she was a teaching priest sent to our generation. She taught us how to love the Word, how to live by faith, how to stand firm in the truth, and how to walk in victory daily. She made the Word real. From my teenage years till now, her ministry shaped my Christian walk, molded my convictions, and deepened my love for God. Her life was a message — one of integrity, excellence, compassion, and unwavering devotion to Christ. Though she has gone to be with the Lord, her voice still echoes — through every teaching, every revelation, and every life she touched. She lived full, she gave her all, and she left the Body of Christ richer than she found it. Thank You, Father, for Pastor Nkechi Ene. Thank You for her life, her ministry, her family and her example. Thank You for giving me — and our generation — a teaching priest. Her legacy of the Word will live on in us all. Rev. Dr. Wallace Ochonogor

“The winds and the waves shall obey thy will: Peace, be still. Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea Or demons or men or whatever it be, No waters can swallow the ship where lies The Master of ocean and earth and skies. They all shall sweetly obey thy will: Peace, be still; peace, be still. They all shall sweetly obey thy will: Peace, peace, be still”. We have lost a true God’s General. Pastor gave the undiluted word of God in its most simplified form, from watching her on Fresh Dew to visiting the cathedral just to listen to her teachings was gainful to me. In all Peace be Still Rest in Power Pastor.
